"The only incontrovertible fact of my work is the importance of life." ~Elisabeth Kubler-Ross
Cassandra Malick-Williams
Cassandra (known by friends and family as Cassie) has lived in Lexington all of her life. She graduated in 1982 from Henry Clay High School, then went on to work for the family business, Malick's Art Studio. She has spent the last 23 years running the office affairs and assisting her father John, photograph over 240 weddings and hundreds of portraits. During that time, she assisted the brides with their photo and album selections and personally assembled the completed orders and finished albums. She also enjoys photographing clients, their families and their pets, capturing the individual personalities and styles of those involved through Classic or Contemporary Portraiture. With images from her "Paw Prints" Series, she has won several local and national awards for her works.
"Creations by Cassandra" Photography was born out of a desire to carry on the Malick tradition of excellence but with a flair and style all her own. Cassandra has and continues to draw from the learned experiences, professionalism and unending talents of her father along with the creative artistry and techniques of her step-mother Dawn, a nationally recognized and respected photographic artist.
Cassandra has a 14-year old daughter, Emily and is married to Pastor Curtis Williams of Lifeline Vital Power for Living Church. She produces a weekly program that showcases the church ministry as well as her own program, "Woman of the Word" which both currently air on Insight Communications Channel 14 in the Lexington area. Ministry is and continues to be a vitally important part of her life.
Growing up in and being surrounded by the photographic business all of her life, Cassandra has always had a love of images and appreciates the value of that precious moment in time. That love for the ability to preserve these moments grew into a desire to allow others to celebrate life...past, present and future.
